In the fourth quarter of 2020, the virtual pet category saw significant user engagement across the United States. Data compiled by Sensor Tower offers a closer look at the performance of the top five virtual pet applications on a unified platform.

Cat Game - The Cats Collector!, published by MinoMonsters, Inc., showed a slight decline in downloads from 22K in late September to approximately 15K by the end of December. The game's revenue also followed a descending trend from roughly 97K to 89K during the same period, with weekly active users decreasing from 92K to 58K.

Akita Limited Liability Company's My Cat – Virtual Pet Games experienced a more variable trend with downloads peaking at 40K in the final week of December, up from 32K at the start of the quarter. Revenue hovered around 79K to 92K, with a notable dip to 68K in early November. Weekly active users saw a significant rise from 115K to 114K by the end of the quarter.

My Talking Tom 2 from Outfit7 Limited had a strong quarter, with downloads increasing from 103K to 192K. Revenue exhibited growth in December, reaching 29K. The app's weekly active users showed a healthy uptick from 1.16M to 1.33M over the quarter.

Another Outfit7 Limited title, My Talking Angela, witnessed downloads fluctuating, ending the quarter at approximately 93K, up from 70K. Revenue was modest, with a peak at 15K in the penultimate week of December. The weekly active users remained stable, starting at 760K and ending at 785K.

Lastly, My Talking Tom Friends, also by Outfit7 Limited, saw downloads climb from 140K to 171K during the quarter. Revenue, while starting at a lower base, showed an increase from 4.5K to 11.5K, and weekly active users remained high, with an increase from 1.65M to 1.60M.
